This time I used blues and silver/grey as the colour palette I also made a longer card.
I used to enjoy crafting as a child. My friend and I made scrapbooks, cutting out dogs and cats from old cards and newspapers. We knitted with scraps of wool or unpicked jumpers. I learnt to crochet and have made many things. I have now moved on to scrapbooking, card makings atc's altered tins, mini books tag books I have also taken part in three circle journals

Colour Swatch Card
I been wanting to try stamping onto colour swatch's for some time. So when I opened January's issue of craft stamper magazine, and came across Sharon Bliss design using colour swatch's, which I though look fab I was reminded that I wanted to try that. So I set about looking for a stamp I knew I had, but had not used, also I used my old faithful swirl stamp I use lots. I stamped two images one on a grey tone swatch and one on green I used the green one to make my card. The main design is I believe is an ellusive image stamp.
I stamped the card background using my swirl stamp and pine needles distress ink which gave it a fab distress look I inked the edges of the card with walnut stain distress ink I mounted the image which was stamped using black staz on onto black card, then green to make it pop I added a gingham green bow and three green gems that were given to me in a goody parcel some time ago by my friend Val (thanks Val) I decided to enter the card to a challenge - Lets ink it up

A little Wooden House just crying out to be altered
Some time last year, I found this little house for sale at our local charity shop, well I just had to have it. I had not a clue what I was going to do with it and am still not 100% sure where my inspiration will take me but I will design as I go and then stop to think, then do some more.
I have decided to use and old map book we had to cover it with. So first I took out the a couple of pages
I have decided to use and old map book we had to cover it with. So first I took out the a couple of pages
Which were quite nice but I not quite what I wanted, I wanted a older, more grungy feel, so I took a piece of wet and dry and several ink Distress ink pads, pine needles, spiced marmalade, walnut stain, and one ink it up black ink and set about inking up one of the pages I wondered at this point if it would be easier to cut the inside shapes first then ink them up, so I sort of changed direction a little but it coming on quite well
The next thing I am going to do is to ink up all the inner paper squares and stain the edges of the frame in walnut stain I am thinking about added some of the beads from my £1 bargain charity shop find for feet maybe? not sure yet, I will modge podge the inner squares in place then set about staining and cutting the side and top pieces. Then I am going to varnish it all. Then comes the fun part I have been collecting little things to add to a project like this, I may need more but what fun its going to be adding the bits and bobs to it.

Now I have not a clue what I am going to do with them all but when I use them I will post my makes on here so you can all see what I did with my bargain
