This month at our croft/craft room Gwyneth had come up with some fab ideas to make as gifts and present in shadow boxes We could make several different kinds I choose to make this one Its a fab group where the tea, chatter, laughter and crafting all flow freely together I also had time to make a tree one which is not finished yet, I need another shadow box :) Thanks to all our ladies for a fab time
I used to enjoy crafting as a child. My friend and I made scrapbooks, cutting out dogs and cats from old cards and newspapers. We knitted with scraps of wool or unpicked jumpers. I learnt to crochet and have made many things. I have now moved on to scrapbooking, card makings atc's altered tins, mini books tag books I have also taken part in three circle journals

My Storage Solution for Craft Magazines
Every month/six weeks I get craft stamper magazine, my favourite magazine and Scrapbook magazine. I love to keep them both, the only problem is where to keep them. So while out shopping the other week we got a couple of extra wine boxes which I covered with quite thin paper which made it easier to cover. So using nothing more than paper, thick ribbon and large brads I created some storage boxes for my magazine I have three covered so far and two more ready to cover.

The valentine Card I made my Husband
I really did not want to go with the traditional reds for Valentines days so after much thought and changes of mind this is what I came up with. My husband loves it.
I also made a little heart shaped mini book

Bird Cage Birthday Card & bew goodies
I made this card for my friends birthday I wanted it to be really special. I fell in love with this birdcage and bird stamp set at a recent craft show I went to and for £9.99 I had to have it
I even decided to do and insert for the card, which I don't often do, but have decided to do more often, I also lined the inside of the envelope to match the insert
I also promised to show friends my new craft goodies I got so many didn't I do well I will have so much fun playing with them The last photo was from every craft a pound everything except the Peel off the rest cost £10 if you got 10 items you got two free...bargain, oh I do love a bargain The Distressed Ink Pads were a birthday gift from my husband.

My finished Altered House
The ribbon I tried to stain with coffee did stain a little but it did not make it dark enough, so I decided against using it I went with a antique feel lace instead I am not the best photographer but you will get the idea I filled my little house with all kinds of goodies the word on it says dream.
I had lots of fun making it The shells in it I hot glued together and added a gem These are shells brought back from our holiday to Scotland last year, the valves I got from a junk shops I altered the key some time back The little animals are from a wall hanging that broke, but like all crafters I kept it thinking I might be able to use it I stuck one of the little animals on died bead so it looked like an elephant on a ball I put a bead on his trunk Lots of little treasure I am going to display it in my hallway on a shelf above the stairs I really had fun making it. thanks for looking
