Can you make a heart shape flower?

Well I thought I might as well give it a go lol

So what about a square ?    seems both are possible Not sure I like the square lol However it just goes to show that whatever shape punches you have a flowers is possible and if I twist it it will be more flower like I quite like the heart:)

Some purple flowers made with scallop circles and buttons and ribbon for centres

A light pink flower with a flower centre with a little feather on the flower and feathers added for leaves. I just love making these flowers :)

Experiements with different punch shapes to make flowers

I decided to have a little play with different punch shapes to find out what the end result would be with each one I also used thin pattern paper for one, a little thicker paper for two and old book pages for the forth I have misplaced my shimmer mists which I wanted to use so I improvised and used distress inks, vesta colour, pretty color ink pads in fact just whatever I had to hand I also tried spraying with micro powder just a little in a Ranger mister which became blocked....help anyone know how to unblock it ?

My personal favourite is the bottom pink one on the middle image  My husband favourite is the yellow one which he thinks looks like a sunflower. I wonder what your favourite is ?

Hand crafted flowers

I love flowers so thought I would have a go at making some flowers from some pages of an old book that fell to pieces, so I been using it to craft with. I been so impressed by many of the flowers I have seen both in the shops and on blogs I wanted to try making some I used a basic scallop edge punch to make these.
All ready for my next LO I also had a go at making a flowered brooch using wired ribbon I saw hoe to do this on TV I am not sure what the lady name is so if anyone knows who made them first please say so I can give them credit Updated Annabel Lewis of V V Rouleaux was on QVC and demonstarated the flowers which was where I saw them, also Kirsty Allsop of Location, Location, Location fame made a homemade programme at the end of last year and did a demo too, thanks Glen :)

Messing with backgrounds Tim Holtz method

Some time back I got a wonderful cockeral stamp (stampington & company) I have used it before but felt it would be better with a background I then stamped and embossed the cockeral in Detail Black stamp stuff.  I  then masked off the sun, and used distressed  inks as you would on a tag to make  the backgound I used torn paper to do edges to divide sky from earth. Then I added in the sun I added overhanging leaves and grass, using edge of card I thenmade the card backgound using same leaves, finally adding a chickend and ribbon to finish. I so enjoy messy play

Loving the blopping I will get to everyone I promise and leave comments.

Reflection Technique My First Try

Yesterday I watched Barbara Grey on Create & Craft I was so impressed by her reflection methods that I wanted to have a go straight away The only big and juicy pad I own is "Spice" so that limited my colour choices. I located my brayer which just happened to be a speedball one, the one Barbara recommened more by luck on my part that design. So I then wondered what stamps I could use so I thought trees would works I had no grass, so used the side of a piece of card and generally improvised with what I had I know where all the faults are but now I have the general idear I will try again Now I,m wondering if I can use normal ink pads or would they be too dry ? Not sure guess it trail and error

Spent all day making a male birthday easel style

I wanted to make a male easel card so after much  messing about I came up with a male birthday card I had done one similar some time back but just  a waistcoat so I wanted to see if I could make into an easel card and do as suit and shirt

I wanted the inside to look like the trousers of the suit   I wanted to line the jackket with an old newspaper but did not have one so used some pages from an old book I also made a birthday newspaper for the jacket pocket Called "Birthday News"   I added a belt and a buckle also a little key from a chain just fuse wire hanging from the belt I added some tags The bit that keeps the card up is another tag with a stamped pocket watch on it
